What will your movement legacy be?

A moving meditation for you today

Movement has ancestral memory.

Before words, both written and spoken, there was movement.

Before there were written ways to record our histories, our bodies recorded our lived experience.

Before we could pass down stories through language, we passed unspoken stories through our gestures, our facial expressions, our touch, and our cellular memory.

Movement can be an echo of bodies past.

But unlike the written word, the body isn’t frozen in time.

Our bodies hold the past, the present, and the future.

Our bodies are malleable through movement and driven by evolution.

When I train, I am connecting to the wisdom of the warrior ancestors that came before me.

When I train, I am feeling the power and strength of my body in the present moment.

When I train, I am also creating, practicing, and moving into my future.

A movement story written by me, through my body, a narrative that I will hand down after me.

What will your movement legacy be?
